Fergus is the youngest son of Matt and Esther Lockerby, in the United States of America. (Matt is the son of David and Carolyn Lockerby. Esther is the daughter of Larry and Christine Craver.) Here you will find the medical updates and prayer requests for baby Fergus, who almost drowned on March 16, 2009 and is now suffering many life threatening health problems. We invite comments, prayers, well wishes, and questions. Let's lift him up and let's live in hope that Fergus will fully recover!

doing better
Please pray for:
- slower, calmer heart rates
- less agitation while awake
- looser, relaxed joints so his arms and legs can move
- quick healing for feeding tube so we can hold him
- restoration of ability to eat using his mouth
- adjustment for Matt and I in taking care of him
- ability to have us all together as a family as soon as possible (we miss our kids!)
thank you for loving us and our son by praying, ~esther

Feel free to leave messages for the family and friends of Fergus Lockerby.
Whether you know this family or Fergus personally does not matter.
Whether you write a line or a page, leave a verse of scripture or a meaningful quote, or words of your own, we welcome your participation.
What matters most is the sense of Christian community that we create as we take part in lifting our brothers and sisters in their time of need, and thereby we too are lifted up, with encouragement and love.
Lets not miss an opportunity to help each other live lives filled with HOPE for healing for Fergus and his family and ourselves.
Join us! We are glad you are here and we want to hear from you, too!

Dear Esther, thank you so much for your faithful updates. We look forward every day for a new word from you.
ReplyDeleteCan you please tell us why Fergus is being transferred to the Children's Hospital in St.Louis?
What will they provide for him there?
How much of a hardship will this be on you and Matt?
Do you have any support in St. Louis, such as family, friends, church congregations, etc?
All your concerns are being held up before our Father in Heaven. His word assures us that He hears us when we pray - even if our voices are weak, or our minds are tired. He knows our very words before they leave our mouths and He knows our every need, even before we ask! We Praise Him with you and Matt for His mercy and His grace.
Your Sister in Christ,
~debbie reagan :)
Matt and Esther,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know... this morning The JESUS Film Project had a prayer walk where everyone walks by eachother's cubicles and prays for needs posted on a piece of paper outside the cubicle. Fergus' needs were posted there and many many people prayed for him and for you. We've also prayed with him with our office in California during our weekly meetings. Just wanted to let you know your beautiful boy has captured the hearts of so many and many many are praying for him (and you too). I can't be there (as I want to be) so doing the next best thing I can think of!!!!
Be not afraid neither be thou dismayed for the Lord thy God is with you withersoever thou goest...Joshua 1:9.....Every time I pray for Fergus and your family I think of this verse!
Love you guys!
Heather
Dear Est, Matt and Fergus! The kids miss you guys so much! Rosie tells everyone she meets about her baby Fergus. We are praying everyday for sweet Fergus! They are excited to think it won't be long until they see you! They are really great and put up with Conrad hugging and kissing them all the time! Love, Rachel
ReplyDeleteHi Matt and Esther,
ReplyDeleteWe want you to know that we are thinking about you and praying for you all during this time. Our hearts and prayers are with you, even though we can't be there physically. It is good for us to hear that you have the love and support of your families right now. We will continue to pray for little Fergus' healing and for Ian, George and Rose to be with you again soon.
May our God of Peace be with you!
Shannon, Jon & Abby Harnly
